With the influx of technological advancements, which brought along all types of gadgets that attracts the interest of children, reading a once cherished passion has been pushed to the background. To correct this anomaly, RCAT set up a Reading School pilot project at the St Theresa’s School. Pupils were given the option of joining the club.
The children meet twice a month to discuss the books they have read. The reading club is supervised by one of their teachers. Volunteers from RCAT also join in the project.
The project is still being reviewed so as ensure the gaol of encouraging kids to read for pleasure is achieved.
