RCAT assisted the Rotary Club of Diamond Creek – Australia to donate a set of drums to a charity school, the Paradise School as part of a drum project supervised by one of its members. The drums were to encourage the kids develop their skills and appreciation for cultural drumming and dancing.
The club also took the opportunity to donate some stationary items and text books to assist the school with their academic tutoring.
The children meet twice a month to discuss the books they have read. The reading club is supervised by one of their teachers. Volunteers from RCAT also join in the project.
The project is still being reviewed so as ensure the gaol of encouraging kids to read for pleasure is achieved.
